On this episode

We often judge ourselves and others based on ideas of right and wrong. but this can keep us from making decisions that’ll help us thrive. Our internalised judgments and fear of making the wrong decision can prevent us from living authentically and pursuing what truly works for us.

It’s time for us to shift our perspective from right or wrong to what works and what doesn’t. This gives us the chance to focus on behaviours that help us thrive without us being bogged down by judgment. It frees us to experiment, learn from what doesn’t work, and adapt without self-criticism.

It starts with us recognising our internal judgments and letting go of them. We need to focus on behaviours and choices that align with our values and bring us fulfilment. We can do this by asking ourselves if a decision or action works for us, rather than if it is right or wrong. This reframes our thought process and reduces internal conflict.

When we cling to the idea of right and wrong, we risk making decisions based on fear and external judgment. This can lead us down paths that aren’t right for us, where at the end is a sense of feeling trapped by what society or our upbringing expects of us.

In this quick dip, Rachel explores new approaches to decision-making that aren’t based on fear of failure, and that recognise how each step is a learning experience. By meeting ourselves in the field beyond right and wrong, we create more freedom and authenticity for ourselves.
